What is a consumer conflict?

A consumer dispute is one that results from a consumer legal relationship, always involving a consumer and a professional (although there may be several consumers or several professionals involved on each side).

It is also important to limit consumer conflicts to situations in which the complaint is filed by the consumer. If the consumer does not comply with the contract, namely by not paying the price of the good or service, we are not faced with a conflict that can be classified as a consumer conflict. This is because the reason for characterizing a conflict as a consumer conflict lies in the specific position (of greater weakness) in which the consumer usually finds himself.

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may resort to the European Online Dispute Resolution Platform, available at http://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr or to the following alternative consumer dispute resolution entities (please, apply the prefix +351 to phone numbers):
